RUGIE Family History
This group started with Scott Davis of WLC Architects Inc., in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. The meetings were held in the crit toom of WLC Architects and thanks to his friendly manner and amazing energy, the group continued to increase regularly. For the next 2 years the group grew to a solid 30+ regular members before Scott went to work for Autodesk in late 2005.
Taking over for him was Mark Kiker, the CIO of HMC Architects in Ontario, CA. He continued as the president for the next few years, dedicated to RUGIE and making sure everything worked out so the group could continue to grow and learn more about Revit. The meeting place began to variate between HMC Architects and WLC Architects depending on the topic and presenter. Mark was a great host and continues to attend RUGIE meetings as often as possible.
In 2007, Mark stepped down allowing Brian Andresen of WLC Architects Inc. to become RUGIE's 3rd President. The group continues to grow as more and more see the benifit of using BIM and Revit as the dedicated modeling tool for the job. Opportunites continue to become available and better the group so that everyone involved has a chance to grow, network, and learn.
So here we are now in 2009. The group is 8 years strong and growing. We continue to have new topics to cover, new speakers to hear from, and new members to network with.

Thanks to the support from the resellers, Autodesk, and most importantly the RUGIE members, the group has become, and will continue a true success!
